Holovis brought its new Smart Mini Golf game to the SIEE sector of EAG this year. Named 360 Golf, the game is ideal for social competitive sites with a small footprint and a challenging game.

It encapsulated automated stroke counting using its HoloTrac technology, smart tee and cup that recognise each player’s ball and tracking their progress through the course; course sensors to track the ball and trigger SuperShots and other special effects; and a choice of off-the-shelf and custom courses.
The turnkey installations offer players a QR code on arrival that can be checked in at a self-service dispenser to receive a golf ball registered to the individual and it is then recognised at the first hole with a welcome.
After the game, the API can provide post-game data, including scoring that helps to drive repeat visits.
Holovis say that 60 players per hour can be accommodated at peak times, and current installations are charging an average of £8-10 per person, yet the ‘course’ covers a minimum of only 200 square metres and uses only one operator.
Courses can come as standard, music-effects variety or neon-lit.
There is a wide variety of shapes and sizes to the courses, which are already in use in some prestigious locations such as Butlin’s and on cruise ships.
