It is currently unclear why the park is shut, with no official announcement having been made, although the amusement park is located just outside the official evacuation waring zone.

The Hughes fire has grown to over 10,000 acres since it began on Wednesday and is currently 36 per cent contained.

The 209-acre amusement park is home to 20 roller coasters, the most any one park houses globally, and is visited by over three million guests annually.

It is unknown when the park will reopen, though the website shows opening hours are normal for Saturday currently.
