BattleKart, the mixed-reality gamified go-karting experience, opened its newest track in Sheffield, UK, yesterday.

The experience, which has a range of game modes available to players, including Missile Mode, Speed Race, Goal Mode and Battle Royale, combines electric karting with projected video game elements that aim to create a chaotic environment.
Guests who take part in the gamified experience can acquire power-ups by driving over them on the track, which can slow down opponents or create obstacles on the course.
The indoor karting venue was initially given the green light earlier this year and the plans for the venue described the concept as having “gained significant popularity across Europe.”
