Six Flags has unveiled plans for three new roller coasters, family rides, water attractions and an upscale gaming experience in one of its most significant investments in more than a decade.

Six Flags over Texas will see the El Rio Lento log flume get a new lift hill and two big drops. The park's DC Universe land will also expand with its new Cyborg Cyber Revolution offering an air-time-filled ride with four rotating arms, while Shazam! Tower of Eternity will offer family thrills as a drop tower.

Six Flags Great Adventure will welcome The Flash: Vertical Velocity, the first super boomerang roller coaster in North America, which will launch guests forwards and backwards at close to 60mph, spinning them through 180 degrees.

The new attraction at Six Flags St Louis’ will be The Joker: Carnival of Chaos which will spin guests at 75mph as they travel 17 storeys into the air.

Six Flags Over Georgia, meanwhile, will see the opening of a first-of-its-kind “Ultra Surf” roller coaster, which will launch guests at 60mph through a splash pool, with free-spinning seats ensuring no two rides are alike.

Finally, Six Flags Great Escape will see the opening of the Bobcat wooden roller coaster, offering family thrills through tight turns, hills and curves.
