Shuffleboard manufacturer Shufl has produced its own guidelines for playing the game safely in face of the Covid-19 pandemic and pubs and bars can also download a Player Guide Poster featuring tips and advice on how to play following social distancing guidelines.

Shufl UK's commercial manager Ben Minter said: “It has been and continues to be a difficult time for the hospitality industry. Our message throughout has been one of support; we stand with you. Post lockdown we believe that experiential competitive socialising activities like shuffleboard are more relevant than ever as businesses look to cater for the new consumer demands.”
He said that there would be an increase in localised socialising as more people looked to reconnect with their local community and "support local". This would lead to a demand for local experiential activities and the local pub would play a pivotal role.
“Many consumers have had a chance to take stock of their lifestyle and would like to live a simpler life going forward. An over-reliance on digital media during lockdown means that there is now an increased desire for low-touch, face-to-face interaction, which analogue games such as shuffleboard can fulfil.”
He said that with shuffleboards ranging from 2.8m to 6.7m long, it is a game that can be played while conforming with social distancing rules.
