Two Bandai Namco employees are putting their running shoes back on to hit their charity goal.

Steph Marathon

Josh Hurst and Steph Jones both competed in the London Marathon in October to raise money for the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity.

To date, they have raised £3,923 between then, just £1,000 shy of their £5,000 target.

Now, they have signed up for the Manchester Marathon in April 2023 with the intention of encouraging more donations.

Steph battled through the London Marathon with multiple foot related medical issues. Having undergone a procedure at the Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds this week, she now has a six-week recovery period before beginning training again in mid-January.

Josh said: “We’d like to thank everyone for their kind words and donations! It’s been incredibly overwhelming to have had the support that we’ve had so far.”

Steph added: “I expect I will gracefully retire from my short-lived marathon career after Manchester, but we both feel empowered to push for a second time to hit that target that Rays entrusted us with! Anything that our great industry can spare would be a huge help towards the children and families at Rays of Sunshine, and we’d be tremendously grateful for the support.”
