The first tentative steps towards reopening will take place at San Diego’s SeaWorld park on Friday of this week.
The park, which closed down in March, will open some of its animal exhibits and presentation, but its rides will remain closed.
This is because California is permitting zoos to reopen, but not at this time theme parks. The venue will also open some of its food and beverage locations, enabling it to bring back some of its 2,000 employees who have been on furlough.
The other SeaWorld venue, in Florida, has been reopened since June.
