The Nottingham-based Mellors Group, owner of Skegness Pier, has reported turnover of £67.6m to September 30, 2023, a fall from the £90.4m in the previous period.
The company said in its report that the 2022 figures had benefited from a sell-off of rides totalling £35m, which indicated that core turnover had increased by £15m. Pre-tax profits fell from £13.3m to £12m.
A company statement said that the pandemic restrictions eased towards the end of 2021 with many leisure facilities reopening in 2022. The 2023 year was one of "a robust return to pofitability."
The group owns the Fantasy island theme park and the pier in Skegness, a range of entertainment events, Urban Playground and Jem Leisure.
