David Roberts has joined Clarion’s gaming team as event director.
Roberts previously worked as industry group manager for the Dubai World Trade Centre, based in the UAE. He will work across Clarion’s gaming brands, reporting to portfolio director Kate Chambers, and will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of all Clarion Gaming events.
He said: “While the brands are in great shape and quite rightly enjoy very positive reputations in the market, my challenge is to keep them as the brands of choice for all the people they touch, to keep innovating and to continue to deliver on behalf of our stakeholders.
“Our brands, which currently comprise ICE Totally Gaming, EiG, GiGse, WrB and ICE Conferences, are at various stages of maturity and my job is to implement the visions which exist for each and to pave the way for the seamless introduction of new events as we bring them to market.”
Chambers added: “David has great experience working for some of the biggest names in event organizing, gained across the world including North Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe and North and South America.
“He is a high-calibre addition to the team and someone who will ensure that we continue to engage positively with the markets and sectors that we serve.”
