The latest is Asturias, which is on the verge of having a new set of gaming regulations. Operators in bingo, casinos and arcades this week came out with demands for the annual machine tax to be reduced by €500 from the current €3,700.

There is already a proposal to reduce the tax by €200 from next year. It is also proposed to reduce the gross sales tax on the province’s only casino from 20 per cent to 15 per cent.
