Major UK machine distributor PMT has angrily refuted any suggestion that the company is going out of business.

A news item in a trade publication said that PMT was the subject of a winding up petition in Leeds brought by a recruitment company.

PMT director Danny Perkins said today: "I cannot understand why this is ‘news.’ Many people have problems with recruitment companies; it has absolutely nothing to do with our ability to function as a successful distributor of coin machines. I am astonished that it was published. As anyone knows, you can put a winding up order on anyone for £200."

Perkins added: "PMT has made healthy profits nine years out of nine and has this week rejected two bids to buy our Big Yellow Ticket and online casino concept - hardly a sign of a company going backwards. Yes, we are enduring the same troubles as everyone else in getting paid in difficult times, but we are sure things will improve for the industry very soon."

PMT is an exhibitor at the InterGame Expo, set to be held in London in January on the same dates as ATEI.
