We all remember Paul the Octopus predicting the winning teams in the 2010 World Cup - well for this tournament it is Toby the Penguin.
Toby lives at Ski Dubai, the snow park operated by the big UAE retail conglomerate, Majid Al Futtaim Group. The group, which also operates a number of other leisure venues, including the Magic Planet FEC chain, is hitting the headlines with Toby’s predictions.
According to the Khaleej Times, Toby has predicted the two biggest upsets so far at the World Cup. He picked Saudi Arabia to beat Argentina and then chose Japan to beat Germany.
Toby is presented with a choice of flags each with a football in front and he shuffles forward and touches one flag with his beak, to indicate his prediction. He has also other successful predictions so far in this World Cup.
