For the fifth year in a row, Paultons Park in Hampshire, England, has been voted the UK’s No 1 theme park in TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Awards.

The park, in the New Forest area, also came 10th in the world’s top parks, ahead of Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris.

The awards analyse the number of reviews posted for a location and the quality of the ratings. This year the ratings were assessed from the period before the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted tourism.

The Paultons Park features the very popular Peppa Pig Land. The location was forced to close in March, but has now reopened. Among its upcoming plans is a Wild West-themed area with eight new rides and the UK’s first free-spinning roller coaster that will be named the Storm Chaser. The land will be called Tornado Springs and was due to open this year, but that has now been pushed back to next year.

Otherwise, the park has 70 rides, mostly designed to appeal to families.
