The owner of the Pleasure Park at Barry Island (pictured) plans to use the land close to the Ty Hafan Hospice in Sully to create a new holiday park, but was served an enforcement notice by the Vale of Glamorgan Council in January, forcing him to stop digging on the land.

Danter has told local media that his only intention with the work was to tidy up the appearance of the site and that he felt he was within the limits of the enforcement notice to do so.

His plans have not been submitted to the council, but face a protest petition with over 15,000 signatures.
