There is “much more optimism” in the Irish market currently, JNC Sales’ Dave Columbine said.

JNC Sales - Dave Columbine

Speaking to InterGame at the Irish Gaming Show in Dublin this week, Columbine explained that although the market in Northern Ireland has been “much more buoyant’ in recent years, the neighbouring Republic is showing signs of improvement.

“We’re starting to see some of the big players releasing funds for new product investment,” he said, “although we’re not quite back up to the old days.”

JNC was exhibiting its latest Fast and Furious – Super Cars games, alongside Aqua Jet, a new interactive kiddie ride from Tecway. The company has high hopes for the latter following the success of Tecway’s Kiddie Submarine in Europe. Another ride, Kiddie Train, will be available in the weeks ahead.

The company’s Galaxy Garrison whacker has also proved very popular with Irish players, Columbine said.

Overall, he was pleased with the show and its new venue at the Red Cow Moran hotel. “There’s a lot more buoyancy generally,” he added.
