It was perhaps a concern for old-school gamers when Sega Amusements sold its retro arcades to Genda GiGO Entertainment.

However, it appears there is more than a bit of fight left in the old dog yet.
Genda GiGO has reported a profit of ¥3.2bn (US$23.6m) for the year – a huge turnaround on the ¥3.2bn loss it suffered last year.
Whether those numbers can be maintained long-term is another thing entirely, but only time will tell.
