The winter school holidays is normally a prosperous time for arcade operators in New Zealand, but with ongoing roadworks still causing disruption to Queen Street in Auckland, one of the busiest streets in the country, both retailers and operators are feeling the effects.
Gary Walker of operator Coin Cascade said: "With the city council advertising every hour on the radio for people not to come into the city, retailers have been badly affected, with visitors and income down by over 60 per cent in some cases."
