The Disk'O Coaster, by Italian amusement ride manufacturer Zamperla, is a new attraction for the Kongeparken in Algard, Norway.

Ride

A classic spinning ride with 360-degree swings, the Disk'O Coaster travels back and forth along a track as it launches riders further into the air.

Kongeparken's new coaster is a NOK35m investment by the park, which uses 10,0000m3 of rock from the mountain on which it is built, according to thememparkfreaks.eu.

The rocks are used to create an immersive atmosphere for the ride's narrative, which sees riders thrust into a dangerous mining adventure. Though this aspect is not yet confirmed, the ride may also feature water elements (pictured).

The ride is installed at almost 100 amusement locations around the world, such as Kataplum! in Mexico, Aussie World in Australia, the Lost Island Theme Park in the US and Fantasilandia in Chile.

Disk'O Coaster will open sometime in the summer, though an official date is yet to be announced.
