Rides manufacturer Mack Rides is responsible for the new coaster, a 1,385m long Big Dipper-style coaster, inspired by Nikola Tesla's iconic Wardenclyffe Tower.

It is understood the coaster is to be called one of five terms recently trademarked by the park: Voltron Coaster, Coastillator, Oscillodrome, Apparatus Ohm and Transferator Ohm.

Along with the Tesla ride will be a 4D film about the inventor, his life and his work, with the park's steampunk spin on Croatia, where Tesla was born, powered by some of his inventions.

Europa-Park's Croatia zone and the Tesla ride will be open in 2024, with the 4D film expected to open later this year.
