Work has begun on a new entertainment centre for Nigeria

Located on Tortugal Island, once completed it will feature a range of attractions to cater to different tastes, including a children’s arcade and water attractions.
Set to cost NG4bn (US$2.5m), the Cross River State Government says it hopes it will enhance the state’s tourism offering.
Once completed, it is expected that the location will create approximately 250 jobs and draw international visitors.
Work has also begun on attracting a private operation to run the Qua Falls resort in nearby Akamkpa, which Ojoi Ekpenyong, managing director of the Cross River Tousim Bureau, told the News Agency of Nigeria would enhance the economic viability of the site.
