The tariffs controversy is a major headache for companies importing directly from the Far East, said distributor Gary Newman at last week’s ARE trade show in Manchester, UK.

Newman handles the Icing brand, built in Taiwan, and said that having to ship equipment "the long way around" is a challenge.

“It puts up the shipping costs and takes longer,” said Newman, who had the two principal Icing products on his display, the Race Away and Planet Blaster games.

Initial reaction to the ARE show, he said, was positive. “It is cheap and cheerful and gets us in front of the operators in the north,” he said.
