New openings in the UK this week include an 18-hole adventure golf course with a Roman theme has opened in the town of Deal.

The Roman Landings course includes interactive water features and links to the town’s history with props such as the Duke of Wellington and a Roman galley and a moveable raft feature, where players pull themselves along over water.

Another new development is in Wigan, Lancashire, where several entertainment activities are planned for the redevelopment of the town centre. They include mini-golf, a cinema, bowling centre, climbing venue and a games arcade.

In Manchester, next month will see Europe’s first Nerf Action Xperience. It will be located in Trafford Palazzo, a new shopping and entertainment centre. It will feature a number of attractions, including a huge indoor arena, with five activity zones. There is also a Nerf store for merchandise.

The venture is planned by Rocafella Leisure Group, the CEO of which, Chris Hayes, said: “We will establish what we believe is a world-renowned destination that personifies the brand values of Nerf within an entertainment setting."

In the capital, Immersive Gamebox opened the doors to its eighth venue. The new location in Shoreditch will measure 3,600sq.ft and will feature nine Gameboxes, a bar and a VIP area available for private hire. 

Meanwhile, the trendy bar arcade chain NQ64 unveiled a new venue in Bristol with retro theming and plans for a trampoline park in Scotland were approved.
