Sacoa is seeing encouraging signs of recovery in the US amusement industry with a number of new installations under way. Corvette Diner in California, which features around 40 games, has installed Color Shot and E-ticket and the general manager is said to be "very happy with the product's performance."

Operators are seeing the E-ticket concept as a great investment, according to Sacoa, as it saves on the costs that come with using paper tickets. There is also a reduction in down time on games, no jams, a reduction in the risk of theft by technicians and so on.

Sacoa is also working with Livingstones in Florida to convert its 120 games over to a debit card system and the centre has estimated it will save around $100,000 by installing the e-ticket system. There are also two projects under way with Incredible Pizza branches and with Latitude 30 in Florida - a new centre due to open in June this year featuring around 60 games.

Speaking at the Amusement Expo in Vegas last week, Sebastian Mochkovsky told InterGame: "I am starting to see signs of recovery in the US and have noticed many new players in the industry which I think is a result of redundancies at established companies.

"New opportunities are being created and people are looking at ways to invest in entertainment centres to satisfy customers’ needs for entertainment. They aren’t travelling to the larger theme parks and so on as much as they once were."
