The amusement industry in Chile continues to expand. A new tenpin bowling centre with six lanes has opened at La Serena, about 450k north of the capital, Santiago, using Brunswick equipment.

Attached to the bowling centre is a family entertainment centre of 1,000sq.m with a wide range of equipment, including 14 simulators, a Batman pinball, a train ride for 12 passengers and a Chicago Wheel which will carry 24. They are all linked by an Intercard debit system.

The shopping mall which houses the complex is named Puerta del Mar and is owned by Ricardo Wexler. The local supplier who was responsible for the games, Esteban Geyger, told InterGame: "This is the first entertainment of its type in La Serena and it illustrates that investors will back our industry."
