Popular amusement park Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England has released images and details of a spooky new attraction.

Titled The Curse at Alton Manor, the new immersive dark ride opens this Friday, March 17, using "3D projection-mapping" and "cutting-edge audio technology" to bring the ride's story to life in chilling detail.
Cheshire Live shared details of the ride's plot, where riders are guided by a ghost called Emily Alton through the haunted Alton Manor. As they make their way through immersive zones such as The Demon Doll Workshop, The Great Hall and the mysteriously titled The Attic, riders must brave "flying demons, levitating dolls and haunted chandliers" and more in order to make their escape.
Bianca Sammut, divisional director at Alton Towers Resort, said: “We’re delighted to finally be able to take the wraps off The Curse at Alton Manor and welcome those brave enough to enter. We’ve harnessed the power of cutting edge technology to provide a fully immersive experience that blurs the line between reality and Emily’s demonic world.
“Visitors will even seem to disappear in front of their very eyes as a result of a spine-chilling array of special effects and visuals that have never been seen before from a UK theme park."
