The first Pac-Man Zone themed arcade is to open in Abu Dhabi early next year.
Based on Namco’s popular Pac-Man character, the new location concept combines branded and non-branded machines and “visually stunning” arcade décor, tailored to the individual location.
The first Pac-Man Zone will be opened in the Sparky’s Entertainment Centre in the Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi, operated by the Al Hokair Group.
“It is fitting that the first Pac-Man Zone should be in a Sparky’s location,” said John McKenzie, managing director of Namco Europe. “The Al Hokair group is a valued operator and customer and hugely proactive in the Middle East region. This fits with our aim to create Pac-Man Zones only in the most prestigious locations.”
Majid Al Hokair, CEO of the Al Hokair Group, said the company was “very excited” to have the first Pac-Man Zone at Sparky’s.
“We are impressed with the quality of the design, merchandise and games and we expect it to be extremely popular with our customers,” he added.
