Information concerning coin machine companies affected by the Japanese earthquake/tsunami disaster continues to filter through slowly.

Our Japanese correspondent, Jolly Furusawa, told us on Wednesday that he had managed to get through on a telephone line to KNT, a Japanese supplier/operator with considerable interests in the affected area. “The telephone line is working intermittently,” said Furusawa, “but I was relieved to hear that KNT had no damage to people or premises from the tsunami. However, the earthquake had damaged many machines at its factory. Work cannot resume there because the electricity and water supplies still haven’t been connected.”
