Opening at Hong Kong’s Victoria Peak on October 26 is Monopoly Dreams, an attraction inspired by the iconic board game.

It will rub shoulders with some of the world’s richest people, because The Peak, as it is known, is home to some of the world’s most expensive properties, including the two most costly.
Mr Monopoly, complete with top hat and moustaches, will surmount the attraction that will cover 20,000sq.ft. It is a collaboration between Hasbro, the owner of the Monopoly brand, and a new company, Monopoly Dreams, formed to create the attraction.
The venue is designed as Mr Monopoly’s secret residence. Guests will ride an elevator to access the property, which will be one of seven themed areas within the location. Mr Monopoly’s home will feature major “collectables” and oversized play tokens, including a massive classic car in bright metal. Moving through Pass Go into a neon-lit tunnel the town of Monopoly is reached.
There is a jail, water works, electric company and stations, plus a bank where Monopoly cash coupons can be bought and spent. There is also a gift shop and café. A highlight is the Fortune Board where guests can spin a wheel to win prizes, ranging from business class plane tickets to food coupons. The top prize is a sold gold token.
