The new virtual reality experience has been launched by Spree Interactive, partnering with European broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1, the Hollywood VFX house Pixomondo and the Munich shopping mall Forum Schwanthalerhohe.

Spree

It is the global launch of the new experience by Spree, a specialist in arena-scale free-roam VR. The new experience has an educational narrative from ProSieben’s Galileo, a science magazine TV show, and a game produced by Pixomondo. The software is a 15-minute multi-player adventure investigating humanity’s possible survival on Mars.

Mission to Mars allows up to ten players to interact and solve challenges at the same time. They use the Spree Arena technology to roam the arena and dive into the immersive world, imagining and experiencing a journey to Mars. Players are divided into teams and assigned different asks to get to know the danger and virtues of the red planet.

The opening at the shopping mall Forum Schwanthalerhohe will take place on August 6 and run for the rest of the month.
