Mini-golf specialist Topgolf Entertainment Group has launched an unusual addition to its Toptracer ball-tracing technology employed in its games.

Angry Birds

Now open at Espoo, Finland, the new interactive game offers players the chance to pitch golf balls at an animated fun-filled Angry Birds scenario. It is all the result of a partnership between Topgolf and Rovio Entertainment, the creators of the Angry Birds franchise.

Select Topgolf venues – starting with the one in Finland – now offer a new experience. Toptracer will track the flight of the ball with a digital, physics-based destruction of virtual structures using Angry Birds characters.

Angry Birds has been a successful mobile game since 2009, moving on to big screen movies and has been used many times in conjunction with commercial brands. It is thought that Angry Birds mobile games have been downloaded more than 4.5 million times.
