The partnership will allow Hero Zone to bring its VR technology to more locations across the MENA region.

Hero Zone CEO Sebastian Malavasi said: “We’re looking forward to working with ASI so that more patrons in the Middle East will have the opportunity to experience Hero Zone’s exciting, truly social VR games together in real life and in the virtual Hero Zone Arena."

ASI will introduce the location-based VR as the optimal attraction on the floor of next month’s Dubai Entertainment Amusement & Leisure Exhibition (DEAL) trade show.

After that, the Hero Zone Arena will be installed in Dubai Mall which welcomes more than 100 million visitors every year.

"ASI has always been ahead of the curve in the MENA amusement and leisure industry, and our partnership with Hero Zone marks our commitment to bringing socially engaging VR entertainment in the middle eastern region," said Rosanne Fernandes, general manager - amusement division of ASI.

With over 180 locations worldwide, Hero Zone has an existing presence in the Middle East, having installed Hero Zone Arenas in two locations in Kuwait operated by family entertainment centre brand Future Kids. In addition, Hero Zone has several software-only locations in MENA, including in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Hero Zone Arena is a turnkey package for family entertainment centres, arcades, and other locations looking for an all-inclusive VR solution that includes the Hero Zone launcher and award-winning games catalogue.
