UK pub group Marston's has signed an agreement with Games Media to increase the number of its pubs operating digital machines.

About 40 per cent of Marston's 160-strong pub estate currently operate Games Media's digital gaming machines and this new agreement comes as the pub chain continues to develop its franchise-style agreements and its new-build programme.
The franchise-style pubs are expected to grow from 330 to 600 pubs, while Marston's aims to add a further 25 new-build pubs to its managed division this year alone.
James Coxon, group machines and compliance manager at Marston's, said: "The main reason we are such fans of the digital platform is because it is very versatile. We are now linking the machines to our EPOS systems, capturing and tracking our players' details and promoting other areas of the consumer offer."
