The group’s corporate presentation for investor events this month included an update on its short-term plans to drive traffic back to Resorts World Genting. The venue, with its gambling facilities added, had a footfall of 2.1 million in the first half of last year, increasing to 9.9 million in the first half of 2022.

Resorts World Genting is still in the recovery mode following the restrictions caused by the pandemic and the new theme park only opened in January, at a cost of $800m (US$172m).

Newly announced is the addition of up to three new rides before the end of this year to add to the 20 rides and attractions already in place.
