Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), one of the leading operators of leisure facilities in the Middle East, has appointed a new chief executive officer.

Ahmed Galal Ismail has taken over the role from Alain Bejjani, who held the position for the past eight years.
Ismail previously served as the chief executive officer of MAF’s properties division and has been responsible for the company’s malls, hotels, communities and project management operations.
He said: “I am committed to building on our strong, customer-focused strategy that has allowed us to deliver sustained growth. Our prudent financial discipline and strong governance mean that we are well-positioned to remain focused on sustainable value creation and creating great moments for everyone, everyday.”
MAF reported revenue of AED18bn (US$4.9bn) for the first half of 2022, an increase of 15 per cent from 2021.
