Lifestyle Leisure Products, distributor of leisure products to the trade and retail sector in the UK, has acquired the business of online retailers Home Games, based in Burnley, UK.
Home Games has built up a very successful online business specialising in pool tables but also encompassing all types of leisure products including cues, air hockey tables, darts, music systems and football tables.
Lifestyle directors Stan and David McKenna said: "We are delighted to have finalised the purchase of Home Games and are excited about the future prospects particularly given the web profile that it has achieved. Its product range fits perfectly with ours and will increase our exposure in the retail sector."
Home Games co-directors Bob Blakeborough and David Hoyle founded the business and have seen it grow rapidly from a standing start. The business started in the early days of internet sales and with the combined trade expertise of Bob and the computer skills of Dave the business got off to a flying start and quickly achieved front page status on internet search engines.
Director of Home Games Bob Blakeborough, who is also a current member and former chairman of British Association of Pool Table Operators, added: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Lifestyle as we know under the direction of Stan and David the expanded business is in safe hands and will go from strength to strength."
David Hoyle will continue to provide his computer know-how as he is joining forces with Lifestyle to manage, promote and expand the existing websites and develop Lifestyle’s own sites, he said: "I look forward to working with Lifestyle and will be devoting my time to ensuring the continued success of the online stores."
Lifestyle, which is exhibiting at the EAG exhibition for the first time next week told InterGame: "With this acquisition we have enlarged our customer base and product range and have a good balance between trade and retail accounts. With the changing nature of leisure markets we feel well placed to build on the good work done by Bob and Dave."
