The Fun City brand of family entertainment centres in the Middle East has a new general manager. Silvio Liedtke has joined the Landmark Group, parent company of the Fun City brand, from Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, where he was general manager of Magic Planet.

Liedtke takes over the 17 Fun City locations currently spread through the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar, and the soon-to-open Magicland theme park in Egypt. He has a brief to expand the group rapidly throughout the Middle East and India in concert with Landmark’s huge retail operation. The group runs 950 retail outlets with a turnover of US$3.2bn.

He told InterGame: “Landmark’s chairman, the well-known Micky Jagtiani, has promised me full support in the objective of building Fun City into the most familiar brand for FECs in the Middle East and India.”
