Damien Latham has departed Majid Al Futtaim Group’s Leisure and Entertainment division, where he was CEO, InterGame understands.
MAF is one of the largest operators of family entertainment centres - often within the group’s own giant shopping malls - in the Middle East.
The Dubai-based company runs the iconic Magic Planet chain of FECs, which fell under Latham’s control towards the end of his 10-year career with the group.
We understand that he has left to return to his native UK with his family but there is no news currently of where he may be heading in terms of his career.
The news coming out of MAF is that the CEO of the Vox Cinemas chain, also part of the MAF group, will take over temporarily.
