Timezone, part of the LAI Group, has opened a “large footprint” FEC destination – Timezone Adrenaline – in Supermall Karawaci in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Timezone Indonesia has expanded its existing flagship centre in the mall, which has been in operation for the last 14 years, taking its total size from 3,184sq.m to 4,402sq.m. The centre also now boasts a ceiling height of 18m, making it the largest Timezone centre in south-east Asia.

The expansion and rebranding of the centre falls within the company’s strategy of focusing on the country’s “large emerging middle class” and the growing demand for family-orientated entertainment.

“This is the largest single investment ever made in any one of our more than 100 outlets in Indonesia and reflects ongoing confidence in the future growth of the economy in Indonesia, strong consumer trust resulting from our top-brand status and in line with the mission of Timezone to deliver a unique consumer experience,” said David Dale, CEO of Timezone Indonesia.

Timezone Adrenaline features a number of “signature” attractions, including several large rides and 371 games. The initial design concept for the newly-expanded location was provided by KCC of Belgium.

“The execution achieved on the ground is absolutely remarkable,” said Dale.

Sonaal Chopra, group CEO of Timezone, described the opening of Timezone Adrenaline as an “important and big step” towards achieving the company’s vision of being a “catalyst of change and leading the way in developing unique consumer experiences.”
