The UK’s largest free indoor play centre is to open at The Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield, Yorkshire in September.
Multi-play towers, slides, a gravity rider and interactive play panels will comprise some of the all-inclusive equipment to be built in the centre, reports the Yorkshire Post.
The new owner of the centre, Z&F Properties, is behind the plan with its principal, Zahid Iqbal, saying he was seeking “something that was free for families, under cover and safe.”
There are hopes it will help revitalise the centre, together with new businesses, new shop fronts, replacing the shutters and other plans.
The shopping centre was built in 1983 and was bought by NewRiver Retail in 2015.
