UK Indoor FEC operator Lane7 has announced a raft of expansion plans.

Its first expansion into Europe is the headline development, with Lane7 saying its plans will keep them at the epicentre of the evolution of how city centres will prosper in the future.

Lane7's first European venue will be open early next year, located in central Dublin, Ireland.

Owner and founder of Lane 7 and Level X, Tim Wilks, said: “It’s going to be a huge year for the business.

“With our growth plans in the next 12 months affirming our commitment to providing top tier entertainment in vibrant, urban settings.”

The company recently opened its second site in Birmingham in a 30,000sq.ft space in the city’s Bullring. It features 14 lanes of bowling, alongside darts, beer pong and karaoke booths, with 35 arcade games.

Its newest London site is due to open in December and will span three floors, with a dramatic 30m glass frontage.

Wilks said: “We’ve created and curated a new fanbase of baller fans who also love the additional and unique attractions we bring to each new site. The plans for London are perfect for its setting in the heart of Victoria, including a new adult-only gaming attraction. That’s Victoria’s secret for now, just watch this space."

Lane7 has set the foundations for its expansion by appointing a new managing director for its Lane7 and Level X brands, alongside a new group chief financial officer.

Former financial director at Merlin Entertainment Group and interim CFO at Southampton FC, David Bence, has joined the team, while they have also appointed former Everyman operations director, Gavin Hughes, as MD to lead the day-to-day running of Lane7.
