Chaos Karts is an innovative, upcoming virtual reality racing experience for the city of Manchester.

UK

Billed as "the first live action video game activity" by Yorkshire Live, Chaos Karts is set to open in September 2023 on Manchester's Lower Byrom Street.

During 75-90-minute sessions, players will be "transported" to different worlds and terrains, from outer space to Daytona Beach in the US, using features such as power-ups to afford a true video game experience.

Combining augmented reality technology with go-kart racing has been a longstanding dream of co-owner Tom Lionetti-Maguire, who said: "We are so excited to be launching this brand-new attraction, and especially to be doing so in Manchester.

"Creating a real-life version of a video game has been an obsession for some time and Chaos Karts is a real game changer."

Early bird tickets are currently on sale at a discounted price of £15.
