Plans have been submitted to open a karting track at a world-famous race circuit.
The British Racing Drivers’ Club and Silverstone Circuits want to open the attraction inside the existing Silverstone race circuit, which hosts Formula 1 races and a number of other high-level motorsports.
Located in Northamptonshire, UK, the track would measure 1,404m and would be divisible into four different layouts.
In the planning application, the applicants said: “It is a key leisure related facility and is one of the key areas identified in the masterplan as providing family entertainment and multi-purpose leisure activities.”
The plans have been recommended for approval by members of the West Northamptonshire Council planning committee.
