One of the UK’s best known names in screen printing for coin machine glasses, John Cattle, has died in hospital, aged 77.
For many years John had his own screen-printing company under Jacee Print Productions, based in Cardiff, Wales, right through the heyday of the AWP business in the 1980s and 1990s. He set up the company in 1976 after an initial career in printing.
During his Jacee Print days, John dealt with most of the major players in the machine manufacturing business and won several awards for export achievement. He travelled extensively all over Europe with his business, together with his wife, Joan, and latterly with his son Marc, who was general manager of Jacee Print in its latter stages.
John closed the company down several years ago to take retirement. He leaves a wife, son and daughter and two step-daughters.
His funeral will be held at Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff, next Friday, May 9, at 10.15 a.m.
