Jukebox manufacturer JayBox has added the song What Can We Do Now to its 300 sites in the UK.

In a bid to highlight the plight of the British pub, the song is a joint venture between British-born country singer and record producer Bob James and British Pub Week chair Inez Ward. The co-writer of the song is Tim Bushong.

James was said to be "very happy" at JayBox’s interest in the single and the manufacturer’s Richard Elsy commented: "We are delighted to be the first network of jukeboxes to offer What Can We Do Now to pub customers around the UK."

Ward added: "Pubs are vital to the nurturing of music as this is where so many stars started their careers. It’s good to see a small independent company like JayBox getting behind this and I hope other jukebox companies will follow this example so we can see the song being played all over the country."
