A Japanese theme park may become a prime location for the long-awaited first resort-casino in the country.

The owner of the Huis Ten Bosch park in Sasebo City, Nagasaki, is considering selling the site to a Hong Kong investment fund, says local press reports.
Three years ago the operator of the park, together with the local authorities, agreed to earmark part of the land and buildings of the park as a potential site for an integrated resort. The park is operated by Huis Ten Bosch Co., part of the Japanese HIS Co Ltd.
The theme of the park is a series of famous buildings and architecture from the Netherlands. Huis Ten Bosch Co controls two-thirds of the park.
