Gamecenter, a new pay-to-enter Japanese-inspired arcade, will open on May 24 in Kent, Washington, US.

The new arcade is from 100yenlife, a pop-up arcade which is usually found within convention centres at events like comic con or hosting weekend events from its warehouse.
Gamecenter’s game list features: 18 different rhythm games, including Dance Dance Revolution A3 and Taiko Drum Master 14; four pinball tables, with a premium Godzilla table and Street Fighter II table; as well as a range of puzzle, fighting and driving games.
Ahead of the arcades’ first foray into a retail space, Gamecenter will open on May 17 for a test run.
Gamecenter said: “The term ‘gamecenter’ is derived from Japanese coin operated arcades, known for their high-energy games and vibrant atmosphere.
We aim to recreate this experience for guests to connect, compete and explore the golden era of arcades.”
