An Irish FEC has reopened after €1m of investment into its attractions.

KBowl Kilkenny

KBowl Kilkenny celebrated its reopening with a party for customers old and new, with food, ice cream and prizes all on offer.

The venue refurbished its 10 lanes of tenpin bowling, replacing its old pinsetters with state-of-the-art string bowling. Two new VIP lanes were also added, offering a luxurious bowling experience.

It also added new arcade games such as Fast and Furious, Over the Edge and VR Rabbids.

A Hologate VR arena has also been installed, offering immersive fun for players. Owner Shane Murphy said: “We are very proud to have Ireland’s first Hologate VR Arena and it never fails to please its users.

“It’s a fully immersive experience and customers are driven towards it and have travelled to us specifically to use it.”

Venue managers Jennifer Rothwell and Linda Kehoe added: “We worked on through all the upgrades and never closed. We have a lot of older and mixed ability groups that come every week and it was important to us and them that we were always open.

“There were a few challenging times of course, but we have a fantastic team, and it was worth it to see it all come together with the last sign been hung in the new Ice cream parlour just hours before the party kicked off.”
