There was some interesting new product on show and a good level of attendance at January's EAG Expo, according to Betson's Bob Boals.
"From an international visitor perspective, the EAG Expo is definitely worth attending," he told InterGame. "There are new products to see and many new international customers are attending the show. We managed to see people we weren’t able to at IAAPA as well as some products that weren’t really ready at the IAAPA show.
"In particular, Frogger and Treasure Quest from ICE looked very good and the Jennison Space Ballz was much improved from the IAAPA version. The new Sonic driving game might be good for the younger crowd and Bay Tek’s Boink also looked good. Brent Namco had some exciting product and appeared to busy during the whole show."
For Boals, the opening night party was also a success and proved "a great chance to talk to people off the show floor and just catch up on markets."
"I will attend next year and think if you want to do business in the international market, this show is a must attend," he added.
