A membership kiosk has been launched by Intercard, the US-based developer of debit card systems for FECs.

The new unit was given its debut on the company’s stand at the IAAPA trade show in Orlando, US, where vice president of international sales Alberto Borrero described it as “an ideal aide for the busy FEC.”
He added: “It means time-saving for operators in terms of staff and it also encourages regular players to register their details with the system for instant recognition the next time they come into the establishment or use another outlet under the same ownership.
“It means that the FEC can operate a full-scale loyalty scheme for its best customers, recognising birthdays, sending them offers and exclusive deals, adding complimentary points for passing spending values – all kinds of marketing ploys can be used to good effect. We call it simply the Registration Kiosk. It is optional of course, no-one is compelled to become a member, but it will soon be realised that by registering their details, special offers will come the way of the loyal players.”
