Inspired Gaming International has signed a deal with IceSkill, a leading US operator of interactive touchscreen entertainment machines.

Together, IceSkill and Inspired will roll out 1,000 skill with prizes (SWP) terminals on Inspired’s software platform. The initial deal covers 1,000 selected venues with the opportunity to distribute exclusively more widely in the US.

SWP gaming is a relatively new concept for the US market, and this deal means that Inspired will be one of the few international players to take advantage of the opportunity.

The first 500 SWP terminals will continue to be rolled out over the next six months with the remaining 500 by the end of the year. IceSkill signed the deal with Inspired following a successful trial with 20 SWP terminals last year.

All of the terminals are centrally managed over a broadband network, ensuring that the latest and best content is constantly uploaded on to each terminal. The terminals will offer customers brand new games and games from established brands through instant payout and real-time networked tournaments against other local, regional and national players.

IceSkill will also be developing its own content for the estate and also creating a duplicate online community who will be able to play in the tournaments regardless of their location.

Norman Crowley, co-CEO at Inspired, said: "This is a strategically significant deal for Inspired. The US market represents a very exciting opportunity for us, as it is one that is relatively untapped for SWP gaming.

"Our partnership with IceSkill will help to open up the market and its commitment to developing state of the art networked, interactive skill-based tournament games complements our ambition to bring the benefits of our platform to bars across the US."

Yohan Perez, CEO at IceSkill, added: "The initial trial with Inspired’s SWP terminal only scratched the surface of what could be possible with SWP gaming. The roll-out of Inspired’s technology supports our mission to offer customised game products, making them available to millions of potential players and maximising possible earnings.

"We are really excited about the potential for the duplicate online community and are looking forward to working closely with Inspired over the forthcoming months."
